
Energy Efficiency and Seismic Safety: Final Rankings Published for Actions 2.1.1 and 2.4.1 of the Culture NP
The final rankings have been published for Action Line 2.1.1, “Implementation of structural and plant interventions for the energy efficiency of state-owned and Sicilian Region cultural sites,” and Action Line 2.4.1, “Implementation of prevention and safety measures against seismic risk for cultural sites.” The Culture PN has allocated €62 million and €46 million, respectively, for these actions, as part of Priority 2: “Energy efficiency and reduction of risks related to catastrophic natural events.”
Specifically, with Managing Authority Decree No. 83 of February 28, 2025, 14 projects have been approved for funding, with a total value of €59,581,715.97, aimed at improving the energy efficiency of archives, libraries, and monumental complexes owned by the Ministry of Culture and the Sicilian Region. These projects are located in Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, and Sicily and involve buildings and facilities that require energy efficiency upgrades.
With Managing Authority Decree No. 84 of February 28, 2025, 10 projects have been approved for funding, with a total value of €43,507,387.29, for the implementation of seismic risk prevention and safety measures in cultural sites owned by the Ministry of Culture and the Sicilian Region. These projects, also located in Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, and Sicily, involve building complexes or individual buildings with higher vulnerability due to structural, historical-artistic, or environmental reasons.
The final rankings, following the provisional rankings published on February 14, are valid for 12 months from the adoption date of the respective decrees and are available in the dedicated section on the PN Cultura website.
The implementation of the interventions will be regulated by a specific mandatory agreement to be signed between the Managing Authority and the beneficiary.
