The Operations of Strategic Importance are the real pillars for the effectiveness of the communication strategy (European and national) of the 2021-2027 programming, Operations of Strategic Importance are considered as such because they assume a primary function in the affirmation of the objectives of a Programme and of cohesion policy itself. For this reason, according to Article 2 point 5 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060, these operations ‘are subject to special monitoring and reporting measures’.

Within the framework of the Culture national Programme 2021-2027, three strategically important Operations have been identified:

• Priority 1 | SO 1.2 | Action 1.2.1 – Creation of a common digital infrastructure
• Priority 2 | SO 2.1 and SO 2.4 | Action 2.1.2 and 2.4.3 – Pilot Sites
• Priority 3 | SO 4.6 | Action 4.6.1 – Revitalisation and re-functionalisation of state-owned cultural sites for the widening of cultural participation
